At ORI, we create artistically designed objects that transcend function—each piece a harmonious blend of craftsmanship, technology, and inspiration drawn from the ancient art of origami. Our mission is to infuse beauty, utility, and intention into everyday spaces.

Long Term Vision

We believe beauty has no boundaries. Our creative journey is ever-evolving—driven by curiosity, exploration, and the joy of discovery. Each step brings us closer to uncovering new forms, ideas, and expressions that continue to shape our work.

04

Quality

Rooted in an artistic lens and guided by a research-driven approach, our design process places high emphasis on ergonomics and craftsmanship. We work only with materials that match our commitment to quality, ensuring each piece maintains the essence and integrity of handmade excellence.

05

Customization

Our use of hand-folded metal sheets lends each product a unique identity. Echoing the spirit of the Industrial era and influenced by contemporary art, our designs offer limited customizations to align with specific client needs—always staying true to the ORI aesthetic.

We source reclaimed teakwood from traditional dwellings in Vadodara, Gujarat—celebrating the legacy of wooden architecture.

Metal, our primary material, is chosen for its durability, recyclability, and expressive potential.

Traditional techniques like metal spinning, casting, and wood turning are used to bring precision, balance, and harmony to every design.

Canopies are shaped by hand-folding sheet metal, a method refined through rigorous experimentation. Powder coating adds durability and a distinct tactile finish.

Even our packaging reflects our commitment to quality, ensuring every product reaches you just as it was envisioned.

A Technical Inspiration

To capture the complex, organic geometry of the Ruffle Fan Palm, we sought materials that could embody both form and resilience. Metal emerged as the ideal choice—but it was the art of origami that revealed the path forward. This ancient paper-folding technique unlocked new dimensions in our design process, allowing us to explore dynamic, three-dimensional forms using planar surfaces.

The name ‘ORI’ is derived from Origami—where Ori means "to fold" and Kami means "paper." In our hands, this becomes a method of reimagining metal, enabling poetic expressions of shape and structure.

Our purpose is to create meaningful design—where function meets feeling, and every fold holds a story.
